Youth Advisory Council
Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center | Youth Advisory Task Force
Our Youth Advisory Task Force aims to equip teens with the tools needed to advocate and educate themselves and their peers. Students who are enrolled in their Freshman-Senior year of high school and reside in Hughes, Stanley, Sully, Jones, Haakon, or Hyde counties are encouraged to apply. Eligible applicants should also be motivated, community-involved, engage in positive peer interactions, and have demonstrated effective leadership skills.
Applicants selected for the Youth Advisory Task Force will participate in an interview, either via Zoom or in-person, with the Executive Director, Client Services Supervisor, and at times, selected board members. If chosen, Youth Advisory Task Force Members should expect to participate in quarterly meetings, collaborate on project goals to enhance awareness and education of teen dating violence, network with other students, and engage with their peers to prevent, recognize, and stop teen dating violence.
Applications should be submitted via email to domestic@missourishores.com.
